According to the American Cancer Society, eating at least 2 ½ cups of fruits and vegetables each day can help reduce your risk for a variety of cancers. This is because they are rich in anti-cancer nutrients like Vitamins A, B and C, as well as antioxidants. Antioxidants attack free radicals in your body to get rid of them. Free radicals can damage DNA in your cells, which over time can lead to disease.
Foods high in antioxidants include beets, carrots, green leafy veggies, berries, citrus, and apples. If you find it difficult to consume fruits and veggies at each meal, then juicing is your key!
